GLADIATORS returns this weekend - 24 years after the show was dramatically axed.
But while the pugil sticks, lycra and dramatic music are all set to return, the original stars won't be given their age.
The Sun first revealed the new generation of superhumans as they donned their revamped costumes outside of BBC HQ.
Bradley Walsh and his son Barney will host the reboot, which officially kicks off at 5:50pm on BBC One.
But while attention turns to the newbies, the original Gladiators have led very interesting lives.
Now in their 50s, 60s, many of the cast went on to various other TV projects, while some went behind bars.

Shadow was once one of Gladiators' brightest stars - but now he's a convicted criminal.

But speaking on the Celebrity Catch Up podcast, she added how she is now ready to find love again.
She said: “I’ve been single for some time. But I thought this year I may start dating because I’ve thought, ‘I’m not going to be alone for ever’.”

She is now a pilates instructor and runs her own counselling business.

Indian-born bodybuilder Michael Van Wijk took on the role of the show’s pantomime villain, drawing boos from the crowd as he used every trick to make life tough for the contestants.
In 1994 he played one match for the reserve team of Gillingham FC. But after appearing in all eight series, Wolf moved to New Zealand and opened a chain of gyms.
The 71-year-old dad of four also took up cage fighting.

Kate, 58, now runs schools coaching clubs with former Olympic gold medal decathlete Daley Thompson.
