SECRET SHOWDOWN

I confronted Andrew over cruel Tasha insult but Love Island producers didn’t show it, says Billy Brown

THEY say it's 'all fair in love and war' - but not as far as Love Island hunks are concerned.

For some of the lads from this year's series, it has proved to be a really sour point in the hit show - leading them to lash out.

Beefcake Billy Brown, who was dumped from the villa last week, saw it first-hand when he coupled up with Tasha Ghouri - and was met with hostility by her former love interest Andrew Le Page and some of the other boys.

Billy and dancer Tasha, both 23, met in Casa Amor and got together, securing his place in the main Love Island villa.

But feathers were ruffled when the two stepped into the village together - especially with Andrew, who Tasha had previously been coupled up with.

Billy told The Sun: "I was given devil eyes and proper stare downs.

"I was going into their house and I wasn't welcome. That's how I felt.

"Andrew told me during the recoupling that she had told more lies than Pinnochio.

"I couldn't not say anything. He was the first person I went up to after the ceremony and asked him what all that was about.

"I said, don't be doing that in front of everyone. If you have things to say, say it to her in private.

"What baffled me was that he was with someone as well."

At the time, Andrew, 27, was coupled up with Coco Lodge, also 27.

Billy said: "What baffled me was that he made Coco feel not wanted as well so I didn't agree with it."

He says he feels some of the boys "ganged" up on Tasha, the show's first deaf contestant.

Billy said: "I think people's emotions are very high and when people get pissed off or angry it can really show.

"Obviously Andrew, Luca and Dami got annoyed at points and they're all expressive people. They can come across as quite rude sometimes towards the girls.

"The whole ganging up thing, it was where they are so close and they're like "Let's all do that".

"It doesn't come across well at all."

Many viewers have complained about how some of guys, including Andrew and Luca Bish, 23, have behaved towards the female contestants in this year's show.

Billy said: "The way Luca acts. He will say how he feels. Sometimes, especially towards a girl.

"It doesn't cost anything to say nothing and to hold it in.

"Why would you start opening your mouth when you know it's going to hurt someone? And you know it's going to hurt them. Why would you still do it?

"That's where I got baffled. I'd take someone to the side if I needed to speak to them or just keep my mouth shut.

"I wouldn't do it in front of everyone."

Viewers have also accused Luca of being "controlling and manipulative" towards 19-year-old Gemma Owen, who he is coupled up with.

Billy, a roofing company director, said: "Controlling is quite a big word to be fair.

"I can see where people are coming from. He is always around her 24/7 and if she does the slightest thing, he can get annoyed.

"Everyone has their own opinions. They had a row about it the other day.

"It's up to her how she feels. She's a strong character."

After returning to the villa, Tasha later confessed to Billy she still had feelings for her former flame and decided to give Andrew one more chance.

Billy - along with Summer Botwe - was dumped from the villa last week in a brutal public vote last week.

He said him pairing up with Tasha wasn't a coupling of convenice.

Billy said: "I did have feelings for her.

"I think if there was more time, like Tasha said, things would be different if I was in it from the start.

"For me, it was hard because she had to make a decision and she didn't really know me and went with the safe option, which is obviously paying off now.

"Hopefully it will work out for her and Andrew."
