Neighbours fans have A LOT of concerns ahead of last ever episode on Friday
NEIGHBOURS is getting ready to air its last ever episode, but fans have a lot of concerns about what’s in store for Ramsay Street.
After 37 years on the air, the popular Australian soap will end with a one-hour finale on Friday, but fans are concerned it’s going to be “a let-down.”
In the run up to the hour-long finale, Neighbours have been welcoming back a host of special guests and former cast members to celebrate the show’s legacy.
Two of the show’s most famous stars, Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan, are also set to reunite on screen in the last episode.
Neighbours bosses are keen to keep many details of the finale under wraps, but have said that it will be “gripping” and “emotional.”
However, with few episodes left to go before the big event, fans are concerned that it’s not going to live up to the hype.

The show has a lot of ground to cover and loose ends to tie up in order to provide satisfying conclusions for all the fan-favourite Ramsay Street locals.
Neighbours fans expressed their worries in a Reddit thread, discussing what might be in store for the finale of the Australian soap.
The thread creator said: “Since it was announced it will end I was certain they’d make the finale amazing.
“But it’s really getting close now and there’s no sign of things turning into the heartwarming, community-filled episode I’m hoping for.
“I’m genuinely worried it’ll be a bit of a dud.”
They continued: “Episodes right now should be filled with the light stuff Neighbours has always excelled at – characters all hanging out together, having barbecues, pool fun, dinners together, reminiscing about good times, reaffirming good relationships etc.”
Since the Reddit user voiced their concerns, other Neighbours fans have jumped on the threat to share their thoughts.
Many agreed with the message.
One Neighbours fan replied, saying: “Yes! I’m finding it very odd that storylines aren’t wrapping up yet. I was expecting either what you’ve said, or some massive interesting storyline by now. It’s all very dragged out and boring honestly.”
A third viewer also agreed, commenting: “Yes I’m getting a bit worried about that too. Hopefully all the major storylines like David in Prison, Paul and Terese, Clive and Jane’s drama, will come to some conclusion then we can have a great heartwarming finale. I’ve been disappointed with Harold’s return so far.”
“Agreed, it seems a bit underwhelming so far,” said a fourth fan.
Thankfully, David (Takaya Honda) was freed from prison with enough time for the former doc and his family to plan a major move to New York, but many other character resolutions aren’t looking so neat and tidy.
Freya and Mackenzie haven’t found anywhere new to live, Amy and Zara have run off to Cairns, and Toadie and Mel’s wedding plans are far from complete.
However, it’s Chloe Brennan’s (April Rose Pengilly) final storyline which fans are finding the most concerning. Chloe started a flurry of Ramsay Street house sales when she decided to sell up and move, either to Adelaide to be with her family, or to Sydney to reunite with her ex Elly Conway.
Some fans were disappointed by the storyline, which appears to have come out of the blue as Elly left the soap in 2020.
“Elly and Chloe is an absolute no. I will be unbelievably disappointed if Chloe goes back to her,” one fan said on Twitter.
Chloe has had several other on-screen relationships since Elly moved to Switzerland with her baby daddy Shaun, however, it now appears she’s always been holding out hope for a reunion and now has a big choice to make.

Whatever she decides, it will be a quick decision as the soap only has one day left on telly.
Earlier this year, Channel 5 announced that they were dropping the Australian soap in favour of UK drama and the show failed to find another back.
Neighbours will conclude with a one-hour long finale on Channel 5 at 9pm on Friday.
