The Chase viewers seriously distracted by player’s appearance – but can you spot why?
A CONTESTANT on The Chase left viewers double taking after drawing an "uncanny resemblance" to a former British Prime Minister.
Wednesday evening's episode of the quiz show saw four contestants join forces to take on one of the country's finest brains - and one of them soon stole the show.
As player Sonia introduced herself to viewers at home, fans were left stunned after realising she was the double of politician Theresa May.
Immediately, those watching at home took to Twitter to compare the 52-year-old to her political lookalike.
Alongside an array of shocked-faced emojis, one person penned: "I see Theresa May found time to sit in the third seat. An uncanny resemblance!"
Echoing their comments, someone else questioned: "Theresa May, is that you?"

While a third quipped: "I guess Theresa May has nothing better to do than go one games hows nowadays."
Sonia bagged £5,000 in her head to head with host Bradley Walsh before taking on Anne Hegerty, where she added £5,000 to the prize pot.
It's not the first time that a contestant on the show has been likened to a familiar face.
Viewers recently compared contestant Gordon to the actor who played Argus Filch in Harry Potter, with one viewer tweeting: "Tonight the role of Gordon will be played by renowned actor David Bradley."

And earlier this year, fans were left open-mouthed after a contestant bore striking similarities to a rather famous Netflix star.
With her spectacles and perfectly styled hair on show, viewers were soon in unison that contestant Laura looked like Anna Delvey from Inventing Anna.
Taken aback by their likeness, someone said: "I didn't realise I was watching Inventing Anna!"
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
