Teen Mom brings back two fired cast members for new spinoff show after fans beg for ‘better cast’
TEEN Mom has brought back two fired cast members for a new spinoff show after fans have been begging for a "better cast."
Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant star Kayla Sessler took to Instagram to reveal the casting surprise.
Kayla posed alongside other Young and Pregnant moms in Calabasas, California as they visited to film for the spinoff.
However, two faces in the group photo stood out.
Teen Mom OG's Debra and grandma Barbara shocked fans by joining the girls for the snap on set.
Debra was featured on Teen Mom OG as Farrah Abraham's mom and Barbara as Jenelle Evans' mom.

A second responded: "We need an answer right now!"
Yet a third begged: "I need to see whatever this is. Babs AND Debz?!"
A fourth claimed: "I don't know what’s going on, but I'm here for Barb."
Yet a fifth hoped: "Someone tell me why the moms of the two worst mothers in the franchise are there. Do not tell me they are there to give any advice."
The moms are reportedly filming for the spinoff Teen Mom: Girls Night In.
JENELLE'S COMEBACK?
Back in May, Jenelle and Barbara were both in talks with MTV to return as full-time cast members.
Sources close to Jenelle exclusively revealed to The Sun that the ex-MTV star had secret meetings in Orlando, Florida earlier this month with Teen Mom executive producer Larry Musnik about returning to the show.
The insider said: "While Jenelle was filming for Briana's (DeJesus) party, she had meetings with Larry about returning to the show.
"They are trying to give her her job back. And if she films, her mom Barbara films too, and so do the kids- everyone gets their income back."
There is of course one exception: "MTV refuses to deal with David in any way whatsoever."
The insider noted with Kailyn Lowry announcing her exit, that the move makes sense for MTV.
"Bringing back Jenelle could help the franchise, with Kail leaving, they need the drama."
Jenelle attended Briana's party that she had thrown for herself after the defamation lawsuit brought against her by fellow Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn was dismissed.
HINTS AT A RETURN
Jenelle was fired from the series in 2019 after numerous controversies involving herself and her husband David Eason.
In a YouTube video posted on Jenelle's channel, the mom of three addressed her fans regarding the rumors surrounding her return to the show.
In it, Jenelle sat in the backyard of her North Carolina home with her pool behind her and each of her pets vying for attention.
She started by apologizing for the gap between videos and stated that she's been "busy."
Meanwhile, in a recent poll, posted on a Teen Mom Reddit board, fans voted on which former cast member they would like to see make a return to the series.
Of the two-thousand plus votes that had been cast, almost half of the tally went to the Teen Mom 2 favorite, Jenelle.
END OF AN ERA
The major casting change-ups come after the announcement Teen Mom 2 and Teen Mom OG are getting combined into the same show amid ratings plummeting.
According to , Teen Mom producers have been hard at work trying to save the franchise.
They are said to have decided to combine Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 into one show.
Sources told The Ashley that no decision is final as of right now, however.
The casts combining will likely mean cuts, as suggested by the gossip site.
A source told The Ashleys Reality Roundup: "This is like their last-ditch effort to keep the shows going."
Per the website, ratings have been an ongoing struggle.
In another report, The Ashleys revealed that Teen Mom 2's recent season premiere drew only 459,000 live viewers – the third-worst ratings in the show's history.
Sources told The Ashley that while it's unlikely all 10 Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 cast members will remain on the show in its new format, not everyone on the shows is currently aware of the chatter.
The source said: "It's circulating through the casts and crews but I don't think it's made its way to everyone."
