REBECCA Balding, star of tv shows Soap and Charmed, has died aged 73.
The actress passed away following a battle with ovarian cancer, her family confirmed.
The veteran stage and screen actress' husband James L. Conway confirmed to that Balding passed away on July 18 in Park City, Utah.
Her cousin Caroline Williams tweeted to pay her respects, writing: “While we were not close in adulthood, she was a profound influence on my curiosity about show business and acting.
“Mother, wife, actress. Did it all.”
On Soap, Balding played the recurring character Carol David, an attorney and the mother of Jodie Dallas’ child.

Carol was a key character in the controversial daytime spoof during the show's first two seasons on ABC from 1977-79.
The breakout role was trailblazing because it saw Carol seduce and conceive a baby with Jodie, who was one of the first openly gay characters on TV at the time.
Balding continued her success with a role on ABC's 1979 sitcom Makin' It.
She was also known for playing Phoebe’s boss Elise Rothman on Charmed, which aired from 1998-2006.

The Little Rock, Arkansas native had worked as a stage actress in Chicago before she made her way to Hollywood.
Her other notable TV credits include Melrose Place, 90210 Beverly Hills, and Starsky and Hutch.
She also appeared in horror flicks Silent Scream (1979) and The Boogens (1980), where she met the director and her future husband James.

Her final movie role was the 2005 drama Yesterday's Dreams, but she was primarily known as a TV actress, racking up dozens of credits throughout the 80s and 90s.
Balding leaves behind her daughters Sarah and Kathleen, and her grandchildren.
