The reality star appeared on the MTV series from 2004 until 2006.
Despite the show's huge success, it turns out that the cast's paychecks were not as much as fans might think.
Kristin and her fellow Laguna Beach alum, Stephen Colletti, dished on the shocking earnings they received during the first installment of their podcast, .

"I think $2.5k," the mom-of-three recalled, though Stephen thought their earnings were even less.

"I honestly would've done it for free, though," Kristin confessed. "Because at that point in high school, to me, it was more of a competition, like everybody wanted it. And I was like, 'I'm gonna get this show.' I'm super competitive; that has not changed.
"So I literally, when they told us they were gonna pay us, I was like, 'oh my god, great!.'"
Stephen agreed, revealing that he was also hoping for other incentives for being part of the cast.
"I remember thinking like, 'Oh, we're gonna get some, like, free parties out of this, like, free trips, like, MTV is coming to us and wants to finance these opportunities, these parties if you will, for us to all hang out and get together,'" the One Tree Hill alum admitted.
"We thought we had them, and we had no idea," he added.
LIFE AFTER LAGUNA
Kristin and Stephen were Laguna Beach fan favorites as cameras documented their rocky romance on-screen.
The former couple dated on and off during their high school years and only recently reconnected following Kristin's split from her ex-husband.
After the series ended, Stephen stepped away from the reality TV world to try his hand at acting, starring in One Tree Hill, opposite Jana Kramer, from 2007 to 2012.
He is currently working on a new series for Hulu that he also wrote and produced called Everyone is Doing Great.
MORE REALITY TV
Kristin, however, continued the reality TV route, appearing in the show's spin-off series, The Hills, and later starring in her own E! series, Very Cavallari.
The show lasted three years and followed her opening of the flagship store for her jewelry brand Uncommon James.
Kristin married Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler in June 2013.
