EastEnders’ Nasty Nick ‘shaken by a ghost’ in shock encounter in ‘UK’s most haunted village’
NASTY Nick star John Altman claims he had a terrifying encounter with a ghost who shook his bed - but insists he wasn't spooked.
The former EastEnders actor once stayed in Pluckley, Kent - claimed to be the UK's most haunted village.
Nasty Nick Cotton met a sad demise in 2015 when he died of a respiratory failure due to a heroin overdose.
Since then, John Altman has kept a relatively low-profile, appearing on The Graham Norton Show, a one-off documentary dedicated to his on-screen mother June Brown and Good Morning Britain.
But amid his TV appearances, the 70-year-old also took time to stay near the village, near Ashford.
Pluckley is claimed to be Britain's most haunted village with a ghost for every 89 former residents, though claim close to fifteen ghosts still haunt its streets.

Speaking to on Saturday, John revealed a ghost shook his bed in the middle of the night.
"I was near the most haunted village in the UK", he said.
"I was way out in the countryside when it happened. It was an invisible force and it shook the bed."
But while this would have scared the daylight out of anyone, John assures he remained fearless and found the experience "fascinating."
Nothing is seemingly able to shock him anymore as John stated that he had had several paranormal experiences throughout his life.
"I wasn’t scared. I found it fascinating", he went on.
"I have had paranormal experiences over the years."
Could this be in reference to the Elstree set of EastEnders, also reputed for being haunted?
