As the unexpected centre of villa chat, the Beach Hut is equipped with a camera and special voice box where the likes of Gemma Owen and co can access a "safe space."

Love Island's Beach Hut producer Mo spilled the secrets in a special video, in which he confessed: "A little fact for you, I'm not actually in the villa with them.

"I'm in a gallery over there and I've got my own little voice box where I will be able to talk to the Islanders.

"What they do is they talk to a camera directly and they can hear my voice booming in - so I'll be asking them generic questions like 'how it's it going today' or 'how's life in the villa today?'

"And they are talking down the lens and basically talking to me but they can just hear my voice.

"So they have never actually seen me."

Talking of the reasoning behind his role, he added: "It's a safe haven and safe space for them to vent or talk about what's going on in the island.

"I'm here to make sure they feel comfortable and can express all the emotions."

Previously, show star Faye Winter told how the questions asked in the Beach Hut could indicate how the public perceive them in the outside world.

In an exclusive chat with The Sun, the 2021 Love Island finalist opened up about knowing what the public of you was while in the villa.

She revealed you can get a sense of public reaction based on producers' questions in the Beach Hut – the Love Island confessional where the stars speak solo to camera.
