Now he's walked out of the villa in a shock move, a body language expert has revealed the signs that prove he's genuinely remorseful.
Speaking to The Sun on behalf of , Darren Stanton says Jacques' unconscious gesture of hanging his head down and to the right shows he's being sincere.
He said: “Jacques is displaying genuine remorse for his actions in Casa Amor.
"When speaking about Paige to the boys and revealing how he wants her to be in his life following the show, he had tears in his eyes and his head was hanging down and to the right - an unconscious gesture used by someone who is feeling shameful or regretful.

"Jacques’ body language when talking to Paige is consistent with what he is verbally telling her, proving he is being sincere.
“It’s clear to see that Paige is close to taking Jacques’ back. When she’s speaking with him, she’s struggling to hide her true emotions and we can see her every so often smiling slightly at him, suggesting that the anger she is holding towards him is decreasing.
"She also holds his eye contact and gaze - a clear sign that there is still a very deep connection there.”
The 23-year-old shocked fans by dramatically quitting the villa today - after spending days trying to win back Paige, 24.

It followed an argument with bombshell Adam Collard who appeared to turn Paige's head.
A Love Island spokesman earlier today announced: "Jacques has made the decision to leave the villa.
"He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode.
"We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques."
