BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent swipes at guest for breaking studio rule with rude habit
BBC BREAKFAST presenter Sally Nugent called out actor Iain De Caestecker for being the first person to break a coveted studio rule this morning.
The Scottish actor appeared on Monday morning’s BBC Breakfast to discuss his new series but Sally had to point out that he’d become a bit too comfortable in the studio while he was there.

Iain and writer Nick Leather joined Sally and Nina Warhurst on the studio’s red sofa this morning to discuss their new BBC One drama, The Control Room.
While discussing what a learning curve the series has been for him, Iain, 34, attempted to get comfortable. He crossed and uncrossed his legs before resting his left foot on the table in front of the sofa.
After he had finished speaking, Sally, 50, decided to pull him up on it on live TV.
She said: “I have to say, Iain, you are without doubt, the first person on this programme that I’ve seen who’s been allowed to put their foot on the desk.”

The Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actor quickly pulled it foot away from the desk looking embarrassed.
He sat up and apologised. “I’m sorry, I know! I’m sorry,” he said, before making a comment about his mum who’d probably not be impressed by the rude habit.
Iain initially looked sheepish and crossed his arms, but before long he, Nick, Sally and Nina were laughing about the incident.
“It’s nice that you feel at home! We love it,” Nina interjected.

Ian played into the bit and joked, “I was going to lie down at one point, it’s too early in the morning.”
Nina continued it, saying, “Shall we get you a little rug?”
“I love that you feel so relaxed!” Sally added.
After joking around Sally and Nina steered the conversation back to The Control Room, a three-part series which follows an emergency call handler who speaks to a woman who seems to know him.

The gripping drama is based on Nick’s real-life experience with an emergency control room operator.
The series is made up of three hour-long episodes and will air on BBC One at 9pm for three consecutive nights, beginning on July 17.
