Mama June’s daughter Pumpkin, 22, is ‘BROKE’ & can ‘barely afford groceries’ as she supports 4 kids & Honey Boo Boo, 16

MAMA June Shannon's daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird is broke and can barely afford groceries as she supports her four babies and her sister Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson.

The Sun can exclusively reveal that the young mother has been struggling to provide for her expanded family, which includes her twins who are under two months old, her not-yet one-year-old son Bentley, and her daughter Ella, four.  

She also has full custody of her sister Alana, 16.  

Several factors have come to light regarding the 22-year-old's financial situation.  

One family insider claimed that "Pumpkin told June she didn't have any groceries in the house, and she told Pumpkin 'Well you better get on TikTok and make some d*** n money."

The source added incredulously: "Why would a mother even say something like that?!"

The family packed up two cars to take a road trip from Georgia to Los Angeles, where they will be hosting a meet and greet with Pumpkin's children including her twin infants, Stella and Sylus, along with her husband Josh, 25.

Alana, and her boyfriend Dralin Carswell, 21, will also be meeting fans, according to the Event Brite description, with tickets going for $25 a pop.

Shortly after her twins were born, the TV star was promoting her Amazon Wish List on her TikTok and her Instagram which included items fans could buy her for the babies.

She has since removed the link to the wishlist and is now promoting Sunday's meet and greet.

The Sun can also reveal that Josh and Pumpkin are renters at the previously estimated $71,000 Georgia home they share with their four children and her sister Alana. 

In a statement to The Sun, Pumpkin claimed "that’s my home and I rent to own it."

She also added: "I’m doing very well financially... my kids and us have everything we need and want."

While fans of the show Mama June: Road to Redemption assume the long-standing reality stars make a good living, in an interview with The Sun in May, Mama June, 42, claimed "What a lot of people don't realize that this filming doesn't pay what people think it does.

"We all have regular entrepreneur jobs after filming- like [my daughter] Jessica works at a daycare. Josh works with a friend of ours. We have events that we go out and do."

The family is currently on Mama June: Road to Redemption airing Friday nights on WeTV.

HARD TIMES FOR A LONG TIME  

As The Sun exclusively previously reported, Pumpkin claimed that a small bank error sent her bank account into overdraft earlier this year.  

In a heartbreaking confession in March, the star said a banking glitch of just $650 brought her account into the negative.    

Pumpkin shared a news article about money vanishing from accounts from the bank she was using.    

She captioned her post with "I had the same problem with a charge for $650 on my card made my account negative and still have yet to figure out the problem!!! Don’t worry I’m about to switch banks."   

AUNTIE TO THE RESCUE  

In photos exclusively obtained by The Sun, Jo "Doe Doe" Shannon, 51, was seen bringing loads of groceries into the struggling star's home last month.   

Pumpkin's sister Jessica "Chubbs" Shannon, 25, was seen helping take boxes from the back of the minivan into Pumpkin's home while their doting aunt Doe Doe grabbed bags.  

Pumpkin and Josh just welcomed twin babies, a boy and a girl in May, after giving birth to her son Bentley almost a year ago in July of 2021. 

Meanwhile, June, 42, is living in Alabama with her new boyfriend turned husband, Justin Stroud, 34, who she married after just eight months of dating, as The Sun first exclusively revealed.
