Gentleman Jack season 3: Will there be a third series on HBO?
GENTLEMAN Jack first aired on HBO and BBC One in spring 2019, with its second season-ending earlier this year.

What is Gentleman Jack about?
Gentleman Jack is about Anne, a savvy businesswoman who bravely went head-to-head with a fellow businessman Christopher Rawson (played by Vincent Franklin) and his brother Jeremiah (played by Shaun Dooley) over negotiations over coal.
The show reveals how the real-life character was branded Gentleman Jack by the residents of her town.
Anne navigates through a time period where views on homosexuality were unfavourable yet she manages to excel in many ways.
Before the launch of the first series, Suranne spoke at an event in Halifax saying: “In the first series it was all about the chase, and if anyone’s been in a relationship or a marriage we all know that the reality is slightly different.
Suranne states that she is proud that Anne has become a gay icon who has “changed people’s lives”.
She added: “This is something that can start a conversation with people that perhaps they wouldn’t have had tools to do before.
"So it’s an amazing thing to be part of.”

Is Gentleman Jack getting a third season?
It's bad news for Gentleman Jack fans as the show will not be renewed for a third season.
Due to a rating nosedive, HBO announced that it will not be renewing the show - just a month after season two finished airing.
In a statement, the network said: "HBO will not be moving forward with a third season of Gentleman Jack.
"When we began this journey more than five years ago, we knew the series' creator Sally Wainwright had a uniquely compelling vision, and it's been tremendously gratifying to see how Anne Lister's journey has resonated with viewers.
"We are incredibly grateful to Sally, to the impeccable Suranne Jones and Sophie Rundle, and to the entire cast and crew for bringing Anne and Ann's story to life."
The streamer added: "We'd also like to thank our partners at BBC and Lookout Point for their collaboration on two remarkable seasons."

Speaking about her character, Suranne said: “There’s so much to love! It feels really modern and fresh because she’s a woman in a man’s world.
"She’s a one-off character who is eccentric, unknowable, flawed, but true to herself.”
