House of Games fans still have a burning question after BBC schedule shake-up

HOUSE of Games fans have taken to social media in their droves to complain about the show being axed from the BBC.

Richard Osman presides over four new famous faces each week on the popular BBC game series – but one show, in particular, has replaced its usual slot.

The show has been axed for the next fortnight to make way for Wimbledon

With Wimbledon now in full swing, coverage of the annual showpiece has seen it completely take over the BBC, with Novak Djokovic looking to make it four titles in a row at the All England Club.

Tennis will consume the broadcaster’s schedule for the next few days – but some have been left infuriated by the move.

As a result, dozens of game show fans – namely those supporting Pointless and House of Games – have taken to Twitter to slam the move.

Alongside an array of angry-faced emojis, one person questioned: “When is House of Games coming back? This is starting to take the p*** now.”

Echoing their comments, someone else said: “Is there a reason why Wimbledon has to be on every BBC channel. I want House of Games back immediately!”

While a third added: “Absolutely gutted that there’s no House of Games to watch – just because of tennis.”

Despite the lack of game shows, viewers will be able to watch Cameron Norrie fly the flag for the United Kingdom on Friday.

The British No 1 reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon for the first time after an epic five-set victory over David Goffin.

The 26-year-old prevailed 3-6 7-5 2-6 6-3 7-5 to set up a semi-final clash with defending champion Djokovic, who rallied from two sets down to beat Jannik Sinner in five sets earlier on Tuesday.

It marks a career-best Grand Slam performance – and a feat that has been brewing for British tennis’ unassuming star.

Norrie joins Andy Murray, Tim Henman and Roger Taylor as the only British men to reach the semi-finals in men’s singles at the All England Club in the Open Era.
