Kim Kardashian puts Barnsley on the map – after it’s slapped over her famous bum
KIM Kardashian has put the Yorkshire town of Barnsley on the map — by slapping it over her famous bum.
The reality star’s curvy cheeks were adorned with a list of 24 made-up tour dates — with the former mining community the first calling point.
Until yesterday, Barnsley’s celebrity links were pretty much limited to cricket umpire Dickie Bird, who is the subject of its best known statue, and Manchester City footballer John Stones.
Its Grimethorpe Colliery Band appeared in the 1996 box office smash Brassed Off, starring Ewan McGregor.
But it got global exposure yesterday when Kardashian, 41, appeared in a backless, black Balenciaga bodysuit over £2,300 leggings.
She arrived at the fashion label’s shop in Paris showing off the dates for its pretend music band, Speedhunters.

Listed after Barnsley, were other gigs in places such as Angers, Ciel and Bellegarde in France, Neipel in Germany, Boras in Sweden and Kerang in Australia.
The tour dates are said to be simply a nod to the birthplaces and birthdays of the brand’s team — although the identity of the fashionista from Barnsley is not known.
Residents of the town — population 90,000 — were surprised by the cheeky puff.
One wag joked: “Well, it is the arse-end of nowhere!"

The town’s museum staff were pleased, posting: “Kim Kardashian walking around with Barnsley on her bottom is not something we expected to be tweeting about.
“Thank you Kim for putting Barnsley on the map.”
Kardashian and her daughter North, nine, are in Paris for Haute Couture Week, with shows running until today.
HOME OF DICKIE BIRD AND PARKY
BARNSLEY has few fashion links — but pranksters there like flashing their underwear by hanging it on the brass statue of its famous son, cricket umpire Dickie Bird.
The mining town, known for its Grimethorpe Colliery Band, is linked to Michael Parkinson, union boss Arthur Scargill, comedian Charlie Williams and 1969 film Kes.
