Tonight she discovered the chemotherapy hadn’t halted the cancer and instead it had spread.

The doctor told Faith: “I’m afraid the cancer has spread. Unfortunately the chemo isn’t working as well as we’d like.

“Unfortunately it has spread deeper into your lungs and your bones. I’m so sorry.”

Chas begged for any new treatments and the doctor told them: “There are options - treatments are improving all the time.

“There’s a different chemotherapy we can try, a clinical trial even. I know you’ve really struggled with the side effects.”

But Faith said: “For who love? Not for us sat here spending my last months with my head in a bucket.

“I’ve decided - there will be no chemo.”

She added: “I’m not giving up - I’m grabbing life, or at least making the best of it.

“The only reason I did the last round of chemo is because this one insisted I hang on in there.

“I want to spend the rest of my days in freedom, not to-ing and fro-ing back here. And even if I do more chemo it doesn’t guarantee more time. It’s quality over quantity now love.”

Chas begged her mum - and the doctors to convince Faith to try anything else to try to stay alive.

But Faith was done and had made her final decision leaving fans sobbing.

One wrote: "oh faith," with a broken heart emoji.

A second said: "My heart is hurting for Faith," with lots of crying and broken heart emojis.
