A Place in the Sun pulled off air in ANOTHER schedule shake-up – leaving fans livid
A PLACE in the Sun fans were left livid after Channel 4 aired the British Grand Prix instead of the property show.
A Place in the Sun returned to Channel 4 on Monday 20 June for a brand new series of the property show which helps Brits find their perfect home abroad.
However, fans of the show were not impressed when they tuned in ahead of Friday’s episode, only to discovered the hot property show had been bumped.
Some fans were quick to comment on the schedule change on social media.
“Was sat here waiting for #aplaceinthesun only to discover it’s been cancelled,” one viewer commented.
“Ah, balls. Guess we’re back Monday ‘placers #aplaceinthesun,” another fan said.

Viewers who were hoping to watch the hosts jet off to the sunny European mainland were sadly disappointed and Friday and voiced their anger with Channel 4 for shaking up their schedule.
Instead if its regularly scheduled programming, Channel 4 hosted coverage of the British Grand Prix practice session on Friday, ahead of the Formula One qualifiers and race at Silverstone over the weekend.
“Taking off APITS for Formula One practice? The cheek of it off to the garden with alcohol it is then cheers until Monday placer pals #aplaceinthesun,” one fan commented.
“There’s no #aplaceinthesun today because of F1 practise? Why do they need to practise? Surely they know that they’re doing by now!? Bl***y liberty,” another said angrily.
A third posted a grumpy gif and commented “No #aplaceinthesun because of F1.”
The Formula One coverage on Channel 4 meant A Place in the Sun viewers went three days without a new episode, with Friday’s episode airing today at 4pm instead.
Along with long-time presenters Jasmine Harman and Laura Hamilton, this season of A Place in the Sun is hosted by Craig Rowe, Leah Charles-King, Ben Hillman, Danni Menzies, Sara Damergi and Jean Johansson.
