Coronation Street fans convinced they’ve figured out who is abusing Maria with vile messages
CORRIE fans are adamant they've figured out who is trolling Maria Connor.
Following the latest episode of the ITV soap, viewers feel that the culprit is as clear as day.
Maria - who is played by Samia Longchambon - has been the victim of some disgusting trolling over the past few episodes.
After the mum, who works for the council, made a request to change the bin schedule in Weatherfield, horrible messages started flooding in.
A sick troll started targeting Maria, not only sending her cruel messages, but creating deepfakes of her.
They'd been photoshopping the mum's body onto naked bodies and sharing them.
The person behind the vile acts has been kept under wraps, with not even the audience being let in on it.

However, fans reckon they've cracked it, and it's someone who knows Maria very well.
Her husband, Gary Windass has been named the troll by many.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "It's Gary texting Maria he doesn't want you to be a powerful women" [sic]
Another asked: "Am I the only one thinking this could be Gary, he doesn't like Maria doing the council bit?*!"
