Countdown’s Susie Dent reveals how she wears Rachel Riley’s bras as she spills show secrets
COUNTDOWN'S Susie Dent has revealed she often borrows Rachel Riley's bras on the show.
The Dictionary Corner star, 57, spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets on the Channel 4 programme.
Susie joined Countdown 30 years ago and has seen various changes in its line-up, but she described co-host Rachel, 36, as one of her 'best friends'.
She told : "For me, Rachel is also the very best of friends — strong, principled and utterly loyal.
"I often think she and I are two sides of the same coin. She is always impeccably groomed while I frequently have dresses on inside out or back to front.
"She lends me bras, tights — anything, in fact, that I have characteristically left at home."

Having worked with Rachel since 2009, Susie also admits she often has the maths genius in fits of giggles.
She explained: "Rachel always jokes that while I have swallowed the standard dictionary, she is well acquainted with the ruder, urban, one.
"All too often I have found myself enthusiastically explaining what to me is an entirely innocent word, only to spot Rachel out of the corner of my eye doubled up with laughter because she knows another meaning."
And it's not just the presenters causing havoc on set, with Susie admitting audience members have "also provided a surprise or two", with "a couple of stink bombs (really), and even a marriage proposal."

Last week, Countdown viewers were disappointed not to see Susie in her usual seat.
The much-loved host was missing after contracting Covid, as Judge Rob Rinder stepped in for her.
