Love Island spoiler: Jay confronts Paige over ‘mixed signals’ after late night chat with Jacques
LOVE Island's Jay Younger confronts Paige Thorne over "mixed signals" tonight after her heart to heart with Jacques O'Neill.
Scottish hunk Jay has been desperately pursuing Paige in recent days, stealing her from Jacques in the latest recoupling and trying to make up for lost time after failing to get to know her in his first days in the villa.

But she and Jacques have maintained their romance despite no longer being coupled up, and while Paige has agreed to give Jay a chance, he fears it's already too late.
Paige tells him tonight: “I totally understand it can feel awkward and stuff when you see me be with Jacques. I just don’t like being that person in the middle, do you know what I mean?”
Jay admits: “I won’t lie, this morning when I woke up I was feeling a bit of mixed signals.
"If you say you’re open to getting to know me, cool, but obviously last night I saw you and Jacques had a moment together and I thought maybe it’s just a bit too late for me...”
Rugby player Jacques confessed he'd "never cared" for a girl before meeting Paige, 24.

Sitting on the villa steps, he told the paramedic: "I didn't want to tell you that I cared."
When Paige asked: "Why?", he went on to explain: "Because why would I?
"I've never cared in my life, why do I want to tell people I care now?"
But viewers quickly pointed out Jacques had previously been in a year-long relationship with fellow Islander Gemma Owen.

One wrote on Twitter: "Didn't Jacques tell Gemma he still cares about her just last two weeks or so?? And now he's telling Paige he's never cared in his life. #LoveIsland."
Another added: "Jacques said he never cared much for someone to Paige yet told Gemma on his first day in there that he still really cares for her.. it’s not adding up #LoveIsland."
"Jacques saying he’s never cared for anyone before, what about Gemma #LoveIsland," said a third.

Jacques' conversation with Paige came as he admitted he felt "f**king angry" watching her in bed with Jay.
"I so genuinely believe every word you tell me but I've just never felt like this in my life," he told her. "But I can't show emotion."

"What do you think the worst is going to happen by showing emotion and showing that you care?" Paige then asked him.
"Like if anything Jacques that would only make us better."
Jacques could be heard whispering "thank you"; as the pair cuddled up together on the stairs before heading to bed.
