THE Chase host Bradley Walsh collapsed in hysterics and could barely carry on the show - after reading a very rude answer.

The 62-year-old star laughed uncontrollably after having to ask a question about a "chocolate starfish".

Bradley read: "Which of these is NOT a genuine species of starfish?

"A. Goose foot starfish. B. Red-knobbed starfish. C. Chocolate starfish."

Brad collapsed into a laugher, unable to finish reading the question - while Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty failed to stifle a smile too.

And things got even more chaotic when the player chose 'chocolate starfish' - a crude term for an anus - as the answer.

He roared: "What made you put that?" The poor man replied: "Funnily enough it's the only starfish I'd heard of."

When Bradley had finished laughing he went on: "Chocolate starfish you've put, and rightly so.

"Here we go - correct answer is... chocolate starfish is absolutely right. A step closer to home, well played."

Anne added coyly: "You can't have chocolate under the sea because the sharks eat it all."

Viewers loved the cheeky innuendos, with one tweeting: "CHOCOLATE STARFISH, I can’t breathe. And neither can Bradley."

Another joked: "Charles & Brad were laughing at chocolate starfish. It nearly rectum."

Meanwhile, third posted: "Just had a rather embarrassing conversation with my parents as to why Chocolate starfish was a comical answer."

Bradley is famous for cracking up on the show, most notably in one of The Chase's early episodes during a question about the downhill skiier Fanny Chmelar.
