Ten Pound Poms cast: Who will star in BBC drama?
FILMING has kicked off for new BBC One post-war drama Ten Pound Poms.
The new six-part series is being shot in Australia and has attracted an all-star cast.
Who is in the cast of Ten Pound Poms?
This new BBC One drama follows a group of Brits as they leave dreary post-war Britain in 1956 to embark on a life-altering adventure on the other side of the world.
For only a tenner, they have been promised a better house, better job prospects and a better quality of life by the sea in sun-soaked Australia.
But life down under isn’t exactly the idyllic dream the new arrivals have been promised.
Struggling with their new identity as immigrants, Ten Pound Poms follows their triumphs and pitfalls as they adapt to a new life in a new country, far from Britain and familiarity.
Faye Marsay as Annie
At the heart of the drama is Annie and her husband Terry's family, the Roberts.
After moving to Australia, the couple try to make the best of the situation for their family.

However, the poor living conditions at the migrant hostel and local attitudes towards immigrants test them in ways they couldn’t have imagined.
Actress Faye Marsay takes on the role of Annie.
Faye has enjoyed an incredible career so far which has included and Black Mirror.
Warren Brown as Terry
Faye's on-screen husband Terry is played by Warren Brown.
Fans of BBC and ITV dramas may recognise the actor from Trigger Point, starring Vicky McClure, where he played Karl Maguire.
Warren has also appeared in Liar, Strike Back, and Luther as DS Justin Ripley.

However, some TV fans can be forgiven for forgetting that Warren started out in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
Warren played Andy Holt from 2005 to 2006 and also appeared in spin-off shows Hollyoaks: No Going Back, Hollyoaks: Back From The Dead and Hollyoaks: Crossing The Line.
Michelle Keegan as Kate
One of the show's biggest stars has to be Michelle Keegan.
The actress plays Kate, a young nurse who arrives without her fiancé and will do whatever it takes to try and rewrite her devastating past.
Michelle shot to fame in 2008 in Coronation Street playing the feisty Tina, before quitting in 2013.
Since then the roles have poured in, which includes leading parts in BBC's Our Girl, and Sky's Brassic.
The award-winning actress is also building her “dream” mansion with husband Mark Wright, has been the face of numerous fashion campaigns and is reported to have £3million in the bank.
Leon Ford as Bill
The character Bill has lost his family business back home in England.
He is so desperate to prove he’s living the Australian dream that he’ll stop at nothing in order to get a lifestyle he can’t sustain.
You may recognise actor Leon Ford for his movie roles which includes the 2016 film The Light Between Oceans.
In 2022 he returned to the big screen in Tom Hanks movie Elvis.
Declan Coyle as Stevie
Teenager Stevie comes from a troubled background and hopes to use this new adventure to escape his oppressive father.
Actor Declan Coyle is just starting out in his career.
So far he is known for Long Black, and Life Of Jess.
Rob Collins as Ron
The character Ron is an indigenous Australian war veteran, who struggles with feeling like an outsider in his own country.
You may recognise actor Rob Collins from the 2021 series Firebite.
His other roles include Waruu West in Cleverman, Jack Winters in The Wrong Girl, and Charlie Irving in Total Control.
When can I watch Ten Pound Poms?
Filming for Ten Pound Poms kicked off in Australia in June 2022.
