British Soap Awards 2022: Jennifer Metcalfe and Danielle Harold lead the glamour as it returns after two year break
THEY grace our telly screens every night of the week, but last night the soap stars took a break to walk the red carpet.
Looking a million miles away from their characters the actors pulled out all the stops as the British Soap Awards returned for the first time in two years.
Corrie star Millie Gibson made sure all eyes were on her as she arrived at East London's Hackney Empire.
The actress, who plays Kelly Neelan on the ITV soap, wowed in a white dress.
Her bestie Tanisha Gorey, who is Asha Alahan, followed shortly after in floor length black frock.
Heroes and villains like Corrie's Abi, EastEnders' Jean and Shirley, and Emmerdale's Meena and Marlon were battling it out for trophies, as we got to relive all the funniest, most exciting and most moving storylines of the past 12 months.

The five biggest soaps Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks were all bidding for the public vote to win recognition for their work over the past year.
Accolades were even more sought after this year, since the awards were postponed in both 2020 and 2021 due to Covid-19.
Hosted by ITV favourite Philip Schofield, the awards themselves were presented by an array of well-known faces from across the TV and showbiz world.
Corrie's Julia Goulding used the red carpet to reveal she’s pregnant with her second child at the British Soap Awards.
