Too Hot To Handle’s Emily Miller rushed to hospital for surgery after ectopic pregnancy leaves her in ‘horrific pain’
TOO Hot To Handle’s Emily Miller has suffered an ectopic pregnancy – just weeks after learning she was expecting with co-star Cam.
The star was rushed to hospital this week, after feeling indescribable pain in her stomach, where she underwent emergency surgery.
Sharing the said news with fans today, Emily wrote: “So a few weeks ago I discovered I was pregnant. Although it was a shock it was something I was also quite excited about.
“However on Tuesday I collapsed whilst being at the shops. I cannot even describe to you the pain- it felt like my whole stomach was collapsing and was quickly rushed to hospital.
"As I laid on the table squeezing Cams hand the 2 nurses were so silent. I asked if everything is ok and she replied ‘I’m just going to get my colleague for a second opinion’ as the 3 nurses gathered round it was then they confirmed I had something called an ectopic pregnancy.”
Explaining exactly what that meant, she wrote: “For those who haven’t heard of this (like me) it’s basically where the fetus gets stuck and grows in your Fallopian tube which is fatal and if I had left it much longer my Fallopian tube would of burst.
“It’s one of those things you just think will never happen to you. I was just so scared. Not only was I about to lose my baby but I was about to have my Fallopian tube removed with the potential of my ovary too. All I wanted to do was speak to my mum 🥺 and I’m pretty sure I scared all the poor women in that waiting room with my crying.”

Emily continued: “At 10pm Wednesday I was taken into surgery and I don’t know who was crying more me or Cam but was extremely emotional to say the least.
“I had asked Cam to get me a list of food and drink for when I return but I had panic attack when I woke up. I was dosed up with morphine because I was in so much pain that I then felt sick and had to go straight to sleep.”
She is now back at home, but admits her road to recovery will be a long one.
“Physically I’m still in a lot of pain and bed bound after the surgery but mentally it’s been even harder,” she said.

Emily was said to have split from Cam back in April after meeting on the Netflix show last summer.
The couple - who moved in together only a month after the hit TV show came to a close - were the only couple to survive the real world.
Last year, Cam and Emily exclusively revealed to The Sun that they had been "inseparable" since coming off the show.
“Me and Em have been very much ourselves on that show. We both love each other to bits and she is my best friend,"; Cam said.
The couple revealed they had even talked about marriage and agreed their first baby girl would be named Lana in reference to the show.
“We do speak about it. I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with Em and vice versa," he concluded. “It’s something we speak about - but not just yet.”
What is ectopic pregnancy?
An ectopic pregnancy happens when a fertilised egg implants outside the womb.
Fertilisation, when the sperm meets the egg, happens in a fallopian tube, and usually the egg should travel to the womb where it implants.
In an ectopic pregnany, the fertilised egg attaches itself somewhere it cannot grow.
Most of the time this is on the fallopian tubes, but it can also happen on the ovaries, the cervix (neck to the womb) or another organ inside the pelvis.
The pregnancy does not usually last longer than 12 weeks, as symptoms will occur before then.
Sadly the pregnancy always has to be terminated. The egg will be removed in an operation or using medicine.
