HOW to Catch a Cat Killer viewers were left in tears after the documentary delved into the horrifying story of Steven Bouquet.
During a seven-month spree, Bouquet tortured a local community with his savage acts of violence - and his victims were all innocent cats.
The 54-year-old security guard, who was dubbed "the Brighton cat killer", slaughtered nine cats and violently injured seven others.
The horrific campaign of attacks in the city went on for several months between October 2018 and June 2019 - with Bouquet able to move unseen and unheard.
Nine cats – Hendrix, Tommy, Hannah, Alan, Nancy, Gizmo, Kyo, Ollie and Cosmo - were killed and their distraught owners didn't get any answers as the police were stumped.
He inflicted injuries with a knife, causing slashed kidneys, maimed bowels and fatal injuries.

Those watching at home were left "sickened" by the details told, with many taking to Twitter to air their thoughts.
Alongside an array of sad-faced emojis, one person penned: "I'm crying already. Glad my cat doesn't go out."
Echoing their comments, someone else questioned: "How could anyone do such a thing? I'm sickened to the core, to say the very least."
While a third remarked: "Absolutely no need to air this programme. Totally sick."

Police finally caught Bouquet after his spate of attacks between October 2018 and June 2019.
In his police interview read out in court, he told officers that all he knew about the cat killings was what he had read in the newspapers and online.
Police detectives used cutting-edge DNA and animal forensic pathology to convict Bouquet.
After police saw the CCTV footage of Bouquet stabbing a cat, they searched his home and found a knife with feline blood on it.
They also found pictures of dead cats on his mobile phone, as well as incriminating evidence on his laptop.
Bouquet was jailed for five years and three months in 2021 after being convicted of 16 offences of criminal damage in relation to the cats, and possession of a knife.
