EastEnders Ben Mitchell actor Max Bowden shares snap with rarely seen mum and grandma as he celebrates Platinum Jubilee

EASTENDERS actor Max Bowden has given fans a rare peek at his family after enjoying the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Max, who plays Ben Mitchell in the long running BBC soap, grabbed his beloved mum and nan for a selfie as they marked the special occasion.

Sharing the sweet picture on Instagram, Max told his fans: "My girls ❤️ #platinumjubilee."

The 27-year-old actor's followers were quick to reply, with one writing: "Aw so sweet. Hope you, your Mum and Nan have had a lovely day."

Another told him: "Bless your heart Max, such a cute photo of you and your gorgeous family together. Hope the three of you had a lovely day celebrating the jubilee."

And a third posted a 'clapping' emoji and simply said: "3 generations."

Max joined EastEnders in 2019. He is the sixth actor to play Ben Mitchell.

He was nominated for Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards the following year and took his nan to the ceremony in London.

During an interview in the lead up to the glitzy event, Max told TV host Lorraine Kelly that his nan is his "world".

"Her outfit has cost a fortune!" he added.

"She keep sending me things she wants, new clutch bags... There's no asking as well. It's, 'I need!'"

Meanwhile, The Sun on Sunday revealed last week that Max is "growing closer" to his EastEnders co-star Shona McGarty.

He was spotted at his co-star’s house in the early hours of the morning — just days after The Sun told how the pair had become inseparable.

Max split from his pregnant ex-girlfriend earlier this year and is now seen “most days” at 30-year-old Shona’s property in Welwyn Garden City, Herts.

The pair have since been spotted holding hands while paying a visit to a kebab van.

Max and Shona have, however, denied that they "officially dating".
