Largest collection of James Bond memorabilia set to sell for £3million at auction
THE biggest collection of James Bond film and book memorabilia ever compiled is tipped to sell for £3million.
Some 600 rare scripts, signed first-edition novels and letters by author Ian Fleming are up for grabs.
Among the trove is an omnibus of 007 books Fleming sent to a real-life “James Bond” with a letter explaining they were “compensation for the ragging” he faced due to his name.
They are valued at £60,000.
A first edition of Casino Royale — Fleming’s first 007 novel — could fetch £120,000, while a first-draft script for debut film Dr No is among a £400,000 movies collection.
And a manuscript said to “settle the debate” as to whether Fleming finished his final novel, The Man With The Golden Gun, is up for £200,000.

It was rumoured to have been completed by his posthumous editor, Kingsley Amis, but the final pages are in Fleming’s hand.
Norwegian tycoon Martin Schoyen, 82, is selling the collection.
Dr Philip Errington, of London-based book sellers Peter Harrington, said: “There is no other Bond-related collection of this magnitude.”
The items are available to buy on Harrington’s website.
