Chris, 44, first rose to fame as a cast member on the popular Channel 4 show back in 2013 alongside his ex-partner Stephen Webb.

He waved goodbye to the show shortly after, before he was replaced in 2018 by Stephen's now-husband Daniel Lustig.

Since then, Chris went on to meet his husband Tony, who is he often seen posing alongside in sweet social media snaps.

Since getting married, the former TV star has quit fame for good, moving to rural Wales and spending his time renovating his home.

The duo moved to small town Adpar, part of Newcastle Emlyn, from Brighton - three months ago, after buying the huge home.

"The gays have arrived in Adpar, Newcastle Emlyn!" he joked on Instagram at the time. "Very lucky, very happy, slightly emotional."

Since then, the couple have been spending their time renovating the property and restoring some of its stunning original features.

Chris and Tony originally planned to move after Tony's mum suffered a stoke, and needed to find somewhere suitable to her needs.

They had originally built an extension at the back of their old home, but Tony's mum fell outside the house and was hospitalised.

She suffered a bleed on the brain, impacting her personality and her basic functions, and needed a wheelchair in order to get around.

"We didn't know if she was going to be able to walk again and thankfully we made sure everything was wheelchair accessible," Tony told .

Chris added: "Our lives have been put on hold for three years, but also just little things but they were all sacrifices that we made. We sacrificed a lot in that three years."

Sadly, in 2020, Tony's mum picked up a chest infection and Covid-19, which sadly led to palliative care and her death.

After coming to terms with the loss, the couple decided to move away from their lives in Brighton and start fresh.

"I had the memories of Gogglebox there too (in Brighton) and I wanted to eliminate those," Chris agreed at the time.

Once their new home in Wales is completed, the couple plan to rent out their four guest rooms on AirBnB.
