AVOIDANCE is a new comedy about a man with severe conflict avoidance issues who is forced to change because of his son.

Who is in the cast of BBC One's Avoidance?

Romesh Ranganathan

Romesh Ranganathan is an English actor and comedian who has become a well-known household name.

Romesh, who co-created the show, will play the dad and lead character Jonathan who is trying to preserve his son's happiness after watching his parents split up.

He is a regular panellist on A League Of Their Own after replacing Jack Whitehall in 2018.

Romesh has also been a regular panellist on TV shows such as The Apprentice: You're Fired! and he hosts The Weakest Link.

Jessica Knappett is an English actress, writer and comedian who will play Claire in Avoidance.

Claire is Jonathan's partner who decides to leave him and asks him to move out of the house

Jessica is best known for playing Lisa in The Inbetweeners Movie, as well as for writing and creating the E4 sitcom Drifters.

She has appeared in a variety of panel shows including 8 Out Of 10 Cats.

Mandeep Dhillon is a British actress who became known after starring in the BBC Three hit comedy series Some Girls.

She plays Danielle in Avoidance - Jonathan's sister who him and his son move in with after being forced to leave Claire.

Mandeep has also worked alongside Ricky Gervais in David Brent: Life On The Road and After Life.

The comedy actress also appeared in The Thick Of It and starred in Fried.

Lisa McGrillis

Lisa McGrillis plays Danielle's wife Courtney, who Jonathan moves in with.

Courtney, Danielle, Jonathan, and his nine year old son Spencer become a loving but dysfunctional family.

The British actress starred in Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare's Globe as well as a series of other plays.

She also appeared in the BBC series Mum, Death In Paradise and the Channel 4 series Deadwater Fell.

When is Avoidance on TV?

Avoidance will have six episodes in the first season.
