Speaking on This Morning earlier, Ant said: "Well I don’t know why it’s never been done before.

"But it’s a spin off from the main show where we’ve got ex campmates."

Dec quickly interupted him and said: "Just stop talking!" but their pal and This Morning host Holly Willougby pushed to find out more.

She said: "So it's not just reuniting (I'm A Celeb winners) kings and queens?"

Ant carried on: "It's not just kings and queens, it's legends from all series," before Dec said: "It's a secret!"

Phillip Schofield wanted to confirm whether the series was indeed going to be moved to South Africa instead of its regular home Down Under.

Nodding, Ant replied agained: "South Africa."

Viewers loved seeing Ant and Dec on the sofa with Holly and Phil, and one tweeted: "God i love @antanddec 😂😂😂😂 mixed with phil, holly and @therealgokwan now that's a party id wanna be with! #ThisMorning"

Another said: "And interviews like that are why @antanddec are the kings of Saturday night. Absolutely brilliant."

Bosses have come up with the plan to invite the “most loved and favourite” stars from past series of I'm A Celeb.

Those likely to be asked back include Jungle Kings and Queens including Gino D’Acampo, Shaun Ryder and Vicky Pattison.

It will be filmed in Kruger National Park where, ironically, the Aussie version of the show is shot.

Producers will still shoot a normal series - featuring brand new stars - in Murwillumbah, New South Wales later this year.

The Best Of version will then likely air in early 2023, giving viewers THREE series in less than two years as the show switches back from Gwrych Castle, north Wales, to Down Under.

All three runs - the 2022 normal version, Best Of, and 2023 series - will be hosted by long-running presenters Ant and Dec.

A TV source said: “Fans have been crying out for a Best Of series for years, and their prayers are being answered.

“The normal show will be filmed in Australia as planned, unless COVID makes it impossible again. The South African project is in no way a back-up, it’s a completely different series.

“It will see all of the iconic names who have made the show so popular over the years return to the campfire and battle it out to be crowned the Best Of champion.

“There are so many to choose from and they’re sounding out the most talked-about ones now.

“Ant and Dec will host all three series as normal, and the South African version will still be based in the world of I’m A Celeb.

“The camp mates will be doing trials and living in the camp environment, but with fresh and exciting new twists on the format.

The campmates will have a hand in their own destiny through a series of internal votes and challenges.

“This new edition is likely to air in 2023 but before that viewers will get to enjoy the show's much anticipated return to Australia in November.”
