Peter Kay to make HUGE comeback tour next year – six years after cancelling for ‘personal reasons’
COMEDY hero Peter Kay is making a comeback with a huge arena tour — six years after cancelling live gigs.
He has put together a new stage show which he will perform next year at top venues.
It will be the first time in 14 years that Bolton-born Peter, 48, famed for hit TV shows Car Share, Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy, has performed a live stand-up gig.
Organisers are confident the tour, including London’s O2 Arena and Manchester’s AO Arena, will be a sell-out.
A source said: “He has lined up huge venues across the country including in Manchester, London and Birmingham and is hoping to announce it in September.”
The source added: “Peter has not performed a live stand-up set on a big stage in well over a decade now but he could not be more ready to get back out there.”

In 2018 Peter cancelled an upcoming sell-out 100 gig nationwide tour.
At the time he said: “Due to unforeseen family circumstances I deeply regret I am having to cancel all of my upcoming work projects.
“My sincerest apologies.
“This decision has not been taken lightly and I’m sure you’ll understand my family must always come first.”
Last year Peter appeared at two charity Q&A shows in Manchester for brain cancer patient Laura Nuttall.
And last month he was DJ at rescheduled Dance For Life events.
