Is Hunted on Channel 4 staged?
A FRESH batch of ordinary people have turned fugitive for the new series of Hunted.
But after the show's opening episode aired on May 22, 2022, some viewers questioned whether the Channel 4 series is staged.
Is Hunted staged?
Channel 4's Hunted is not staged, and is a real-life thriller that sees ordinary people go on the run from a team of expert hunters.
The hunters are made up of ex-military, law enforcement and security forces.
If the fugitives can evade capture for long enough they could win a share of the £100,000 prize money up for grabs.
The name of the game is for the contestants to avoid capture from highly skilled hunters.

They can take anything they can carry with them, including tents, food, and disguises, and they are given access to a bank account with £250 in it.
The elite line-up of police and military personnel will attempt to track down the fugitives using live CCTV, drones, tracker dogs, mobile phone monitoring and publicity campaigns.
Why do fans think Hunted is staged?
During the opening episode of Hunted season 6 (on May 22, 2022), fans took to Twitter to complain that they though the show was staged.
It came after a photo that appeared to be taken from the show's cameraman, was given to one of the Hunters as "CCTV footage".
Eagle eyed viewers suggested that the cameramen themselves were therefore helping the hunters during filming.
One fan wrote: "Was that a photo of the Corsa rather than CCTV? #hunted."
While this one commented: "'We've got surveillance footage of them getting into a white car' You mean a still photograph of the cameramans video footage from earlier? More scripted than a really bad pantomime #hunted."
Another viewer said: "I get that the cctv is for our entertainment however that photo of the car was clearly sent in by the camera man #hunted."
