EMMERDALE fans were left terrified for Amelia Spencer as vile trolls drive her body obsession to new extremes.

Amelia - played by Daisy Campbell on the ITV soap - has been increasingly worried about her figure and appearance in recent months.

In tonight's episode, Amelia continued to be fixated on her looks and bought more sportswear for her workouts, which she got delivered to Home Farm.

The youngster visited Gabby Thomas to collect the package, as the mum-of-one pointed out the surprising amount of gym clothes Amelia had been buying lately.

Amelia laughed off Gabby's comment and went to Gabby's room to try on the gym kit.

The schoolgirl began to take a series of selfies on the staircase wearing a sports crop top and a pair of leggings.

Gabby soon returned from her walk and was quick to compliment Amelia on sporty attire: "I love the new gym gear."

But a disheartened Amelia replied: "Maybe if I had some more curves."

A stunned Gabby reassured her: "Oh stop it, you look great."

She proceeded to take a full length photo of Amelia on her friend's phone and posted it on social media.

But a horrified Amelia protested: "No you can't post that... everyone will see it. I've got no makeup on at all Gabby."

The new mum replied: "You don't need any, you look great."

Despite Gabby's positive comments, Amelia was still unhappy about the photo going public.

Later on, Cathy Hope told Amelia that the photo had racked up an impressive number of likes and a flurry of comments praising her for looking natural.

But there was one negative comment that left Amelia upset.

The teen was shaken by trolls post and immediately deleted the picture.

Emmerdale fans are worried the vile trolling could push her body confidence issues to dangerous extremes.

One wrote: "Amelia has body issues #Emmerdale."

Another posted: "Amelia is a lovely girl… she doesn’t need to change anything."

A third added: "I'm worried about Amelia. She has body issues, BIG time."

Life in the Dales has been hard on Amelia lately.

After taking a liking to troublesome Noah Dingle - who responded by trying to take advantage of her - the youngster has been feeling insecure and has struggled to find friends she can rely on.

Sadly, and much like anybody with a profile on social media, she's also the target of online hate.

Amelia has been seen failing to cope with her obsession over social media influencers in recent weeks.
