Coronation Street shock as dead Sinead Tinker makes a return to the cobbles

CORONATION Street fans are in tears after Sinead Tinker made a shock return to the soap.

The dead mum – who was played by actress Katie McGlynn in the ITV soap – appeared to widower Daniel Osbourne in a video message encouraging him to find love again.

Sitting in the flat alone, Daniel was watching old videos of Sinead that she made when she was dying of cancer.

“I just wanted to tell you again how much I love you,” she said on screen.

“And that i love you more than anything.

“And that’s why I want you to be happy.”

Daniel quickly hid the laptop when Nicky and Paul walked in and changed the subject.

But later it became clear that Nicky agreed with Sinead – and wanted Daniel to know how she felt.

As Daniel raged about failing as a teacher, he said Sinead would be horrified by his behaviour, but Nicky told him different.

“She would think you made a bad call,” she said.

“But a bad call does not make a bad person. She knew you and she loved you, the same as I… know you.”

Nicky added: “You’re hurting, just like you were after Sinead died. I helped you then, I can help you through it now. I think we could have a future.”

But Daniel knocked her back, and viewers were emotional at seeing Sinead again.
