TAMZIN Outhwaite suffered a frightening experience on Freeze the Fear, which left her needing emergency medical treatment.

The 51-year-old banged her head after becoming trapped under the ice.

bravely plunged into ice-cold water but injured herself coming up for air.

Watching on, show presenter Holly Willoughby shouted: "She hit her head, she hit her head!"

Tamzin desperately gasped for air as she pulled herself out of the water.

She said: "Banged my head, I'm getting out."

FREEZE THE FEAR

Holly rushed to comfort Tamzin who said: "I might need to sit down."

Holly replied: "I know I feel like that too, we're going to get you checked out, okay and just make sure everything is okay."

Tamzin was checked over by medics before being given the all clear.

The mum-of-two previously shared her fear over potentially suffering a heart attack - just like her mother.

The soap star - who played Melanie Owen in EastEnders - opened up to  and , 29, on the BBC show after she tragically  after a heart attack aged 67.
