THE Chase fans have called for a ban on players demanding their fellow contestants take high offers when they won't do it themselves.

The calls came after the most recent episode when Ella from Newport was pushed to go for £41,000 as she faced off against Chaser, Mark 'The Beast' Labbett.

Ella played alongside Patrick from Darwen, Nicky from Nottingham and Stewart from Stockport.

She had a cracking cash builder round which saw her get the high offer, with her fellow players urging her to take it.

Patrick who had been offered £24,000 but took only £5,000 told Ella: "Awesome cash builder, I reckon you can knock the Beast into cow corner".

Mark joked: "I love how the men are telling her to go high when they didn't go anywhere near!"

Fans watching at home agreed with the Chaser and fumed about the double standards.

"Not taking the high offer then telling someone else to take the high offer should be banned," complained one fan on Twitter.

Another said: "Not going high but telling other people to go high. There's always one".

And a third wrote: "When you're not brave enough to go high but will happily share someone else's winnings".

Despite her strong cash builder round, Mark caught Ella and she went home with nothing.

The awkward moment comes after Mark revealed a secret 'pecking order' between The Chasers.

Mark, 56, is one of the two original Chasers on the show alongside Shaun Wallace.

Since the ITV series started in 2009, the pair have been joined by fellow Chasers Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan and most recently, Darragh Ennis.

The six Chasers take it in turns to appear on the show and go up against the team of four contestants, but Mark has revealed that while they're all incredibly knowledgeable, there is a 'pecking order'.

Speaking at the Oxford Union, Mark said: "I am privileged to know what our internal testing is like and there is a clear pecking order.

"Paul is brilliant. Very closely behind is me, then it's Jenny, then Anne.

"But we are all really close together. Let's just say there is a tail off after that."
