I was on Dragons’ Den – the investors wear secret earpieces and are told exactly how to grill us
A BUDDING entrepreneur who appeared on Dragons' Den has spilled the beans on what happens behind the scenes on the show.
A post on Reddit, from an anonymous account, claimed they have appeared on the popular BBC business show - and even revealed one huge secret about filming.
On Dragons' Den, entrepreneurs get three minutes to pitch their business ideas to five multi-millionaires who are willing to invest their own cash, time and expertise to kick-start the business.
After the pitch the Dragons have the opportunity to ask questions about the venture.
Delving into their experience on the show, a Reddit user known as iamkokonutz, revealed: "Dragons' Den is pretty much what you see.
"They know nothing about you when you walk in, but the producers know all about you through interviews and conversations.

"All the Dragons have earpieces in and, if they are missing something, producers will whisper a question to ask in their ear."
They further claimed that producers often get those taking part to repeat their lines or actions while in the den.
"Also, if they need a shot again, it comes from the control booth to the Dragon in my case," the post continued.
"They wanted me to open the bottle again and asked me to do it slowly, and wait for their cue.
"It was nice because it didn't disrupt the flow. It was one of the Dragons saying, 'Brad, can we get you to do that one more time?'"
It's not the first time that someone has lifted the lid on what it's like to be a part of the show.
Zara Saleem, co-founder of skincare brand Delhicious Body, exposed some truths about the much-loved series.

In a TikTok, Zara said she was asked several times if the lift on the show was real.
She answered: "No it's not. You just press a button, get in and the doors open on the other end.
"I was waiting in the lift for a really long time before the doors opened though."
