THE Chase is one of the most popular show on British TV, but one of its stars was left scorned after last night's TV Baftas.

Paul Sinha, who goes by The Sinnerman on the ITV show, was at the prestigious awards last night alongside co-stars Anne Hegerty, Jenny Ryan and Mark Labbett.

He and the entire The Chase team scooped up the award for Best Daytime, and they all got up on-stage to accept it.

All of the cast and crew were over the moon with the award, but Paul was left stung after finding out their award wasn't televised.

It was instead put in a short video montage quickly showing all of the 'smaller' awards.

The former GP, 51, took to Twitter to share his thoughts.

He wrote last night: "It looks like we may have been cut from the main show but just to say - The Chase won a Bafta today.

"One of the proudest days of my life, and rest assured we've had a drink."

He followed up the tweet with a snap of himself and Jenny Ryan holding up their Baftas.

This morning, Paul addressed the snub again, writing on Twitter: "The day after, and it stings a little to be excluded from the main BAFTA show.

"I realise that a certain anti daytime snobbery will always exist, but a cursory glance at viewing figures will show how well many shows are holding up, against more prestigious productions."

Furious fans agreed with Paul, as one replied: "It was utterly ridiculous to exclude some awards while wasting time on the interviews."

Another said: "I missed the BAFTAs last night & was going to watch catch-up .. don’t think I’ll bother now that I’m discovering that the bits I really wanted to see have been squeezed into a corner or completely left out !!"
