Viewers speculated whether funny man Lee Evans was Tommy’s dad

18 year-old Tommy took to the stage in last night’s show to audition for Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.

He told the panel that his dad was a famous comedian – but that he was the funnier one out of the two.

His audition involved a mix of gags, a unicycle, knives and fire, while Ant and Dec even got roped into the act.

But he ended up rejected when an unimpressed Simon hit his red buzzer.

Alesha said it wasn’t “typically my cup of tea” while Amanda added that it “didn’t blow me away”.

David disagreed however, calling him “wildly entertaining”

All viewers could talk about, however, was who Tommy’s famous dad might be, with Lee coming out top of the theories.

They wrote: “Will ya look at $ store Lee Evans. This is gonna be painful….”

Lee was one of Britain’s top comedians in the 90s but has retreated from public life in recent years.

In 2014, Lee confirmed his retirement from stand-up comedy during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.

He said at the time: “I am knackered. This is it. Finished. Not doing anything.”
