Wendy Williams sparks concern over ‘bizarre behavior’ at Met Gala party & ‘seemed confused’ as she ‘sat alone in corner’

WENDY Williams has sparked concern over her odd behavior at a Met Gala afterparty as she appeared confused while sitting alone in a corner.

An eyewitness exclusively told The Sun that the former Wendy Williams Show host, 57, seemed out of it during a rare outing at an afterparty earlier this week with her friend Jason Lee in tow.

They said: "She was with Jason and she just seemed out of it. Jason was acting like her bodyguard and wouldn't let anyone near her."

"One friend who Wendy has known for years went up to her to say hi, and she just looked confused. It was really bizarre," the party attendee claimed.

The observer said the former social TV talk show host seemed lost at the party.

"It was sad, she was sitting alone in the corner and Jason was basically blocking people from talking to her," they added.

WHERE'S WENDY?

Wendy returned to her swanky New York City penthouse last month after spending several months with family in Florida recovering from various health issues

In exclusive photos previously obtained by The Sun Wendy seemed in good spirits as she made her way through the pouring rain to her waiting car outside of her apartment in early April.

The former TV star is fighting a brutal ongoing New York court battle for control over her and her estate.

Wendy, who was relying on the assistance of a wheelchair for several months late last year, seemed capable of walking without the help as she headed towards a waiting car while talking to a companion who held an umbrella for her.

The former radio DJ, who lost her eponymous show after being absent for months as she faced a series of medical crises, is back in her hometown fighting for her autonomy.

Wendy is in a contentious battle with her former manager Bernie Young, 75, who is trying to gain control over the star, her estate, and her affairs via a guardianship proceeding.

Additionally, the TV personality is also locked in a fight to gain access to her Wells Fargo bank accounts, which allegedly has millions of dollars in them.

Wendy had spent much of the start of this year in Florida recovering from her health issues and surrounded by her family.

Sources claim that there are several people in Wendy's orbit who could also fight for guardianship, but that those close to the star don't believe it's necessary.

"No one in her family feels like she needs a guardianship in place, they believe she is capable of handling her own life," one source claimed.

Additionally, Wendy's son, Kevin Jr., 21, has power of attorney over his mother, as The Sun previously reported, but is also not filing for guardianship, according to the insider, who added that neither he nor his mom believes one is necessary.
