MasterChef 2022 final viewers ‘heartbroken’ after fan favourite delivers shocking revelation

MASTERCHEF viewers were left "heartbroken" when fan favourite Eddie Scott made a personal revelation.

Eddie was joined in the fast-paced final of the series by law graduate Radha, 23, and beauty salon owner Pookie, 45.

As the episode kicked off, viewers were invited into the finalists' personal lives - and many were gutted to discover marine pilot Eddie has a fiancée.

One fan wrote: "Eddie is lovely and Eddie has a lovely fiancée [sad emoji]."

Another said: "Eddie has a fiancé and she’s beautiful. Bugger."

Another predicted the news, adding: "This is where they do the families bit and we all find out Eddie is happily married."

There's no denying Eddie is a firm fan favourite, with viewers flooding Twitter with compliments for him.

Someone else joked: "I'm a few episodes behind but I'm QUITE into Eddie. He could steer my boat any day."

And another added: "I wish I had Eddie's hair as well as his cooking skills."

During the episode viewers were shown a Eddie's family and friends - including fiancée Nami - tucking into some of his food.

Nami said: "I'm incredibly proud of Eddie. He wants to work with food, he wants that to be his career. It's his passion."

Speaking about his food inspiration previously, Eddie told the BBC: "Travels to France during childhood holidays have inspired my love for the classic regional dishes of France. 

"My Indian heritage also plays a huge part in my cooking style. I love to cook the Punjabi dishes I grew up eating with my family. 

"But my real passion is the great Mughlai cuisine: the historic royal dishes of Old Delhi, Lucknow and Hyderabad.

"I also love to combine classic techniques with Indian flavours, creating my own fusion."
