DOWNTON Abbey: A New Era has finally been released in cinemas nationwide.
The film will see the Crawley family embark on a grand journey to the South of France. Here’s a look at the cast.

Maggie Smith
Fan favourite Maggie will appear in the new Downton Abbey: A New Era film as Violet Crawley.
She was awarded Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 1990 New Year Honours list.
The veteran actress boasts a half-a-century-long filmography which includes her role as Professor Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter franchise.
Michelle Dockery
Michelle will return for the new movie as Lady Mary Crawley.

Besides starring in the Downton Abbey sequel, the actress has appeared in a number of screenplays over the years including The Gentleman in 2019 and the role of Alice Fletcher in Godless since 2017.
Her most recent screen appearance was in Netflix’s Anatomy of a Scandal in 2022 where she plays the role of Kate Woodcraft.
Elizabeth McGovern
American actress Elizabeth will appear in the new film as Cora Crawley.
She first appeared on screens back in 1979 in California Fever as Lisa Bannister.
Elizabeth has since appeared in screenplays such as Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Clash of the Titans and Woman in Gold.
Tuppence Middleton
Actress Tuppence will appear in the new film as Lucy Smith.
She first graced TV screens after appearing in an episode of Bones as Vera Waterhouse in 2008.
She has appeared in a handful of screenplays such as Skeletons, New Tricks, Black Mirror, The Imitation Game and most recently ITV’s Our House where she played the lead role of Fi Lawson.
Tuppence revealed she is expecting her first child by flaunting her growing baby bump at the movie premiere.
Hugh Dancy
Hugh will appear as Jack Barber in the second Downton Abbey film.
The actor made his first appearance on TV in the television film adaptation of David Copperfield in 2000.
He also portrayed criminal profiler Will Graham in the television series Hannibal.
Laura Haddock
Laura will play the role of Myrna Dalgleish in the new film.
The actress has appeared in screenplays such as Netflix’s thriller White Lines, The Inbetweeners Movie, Da Vinci’s Demons.
She also played Meredith Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014, a role she reprised for the 2017 sequel.
Nathalie Baye
Nathalie will play an old friend of Violet’s who comes to visit her.
The French actress began her career in 1970 and has appeared in more than 80 films including Absolutely Fabulous, Catch Me If You Can and Call my Agent!
She is a ten-time César Award nominee and has secured four wins for her work in Every Man for Himself, Strange Affair, La Balance, and The Young Lieutenant.
Allen Leech
Allen is an Irish actor best known for his role as Tom Branson in the Downton Abbey series.
He also appeared as Paul Prenter in the 2018 biopic Bohemian Rhapsody and also acted in The Imitation Game movie.
Allen and his wife Jessica Blair Herman welcomed their first daughter in 2020 and are now expecting their second child.
Hugh Bonneville
Hugh will join the returning cast members to reprise his role as Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham.
He has also appeared in The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes, The Vet, Marple and Doctor Who.
The actor also appeared in both of the Paddington movies as Henry Brown.
Dominic West
Dominic West will be joining the cast as a character called Guy Dexter for the new film this year.
