Emmerdale fans terrified for Jay Sharma as he takes the fall in bombshell drug addiction storyline

EMMERDALE fans are terrified for Jay Sharma after he takes the fall when a bag of drugs is found on Wednesday's episode.

The businessman - played by Chris Bisson on the ITV soap - teamed up with girlfriend Laurel to meet with a stubborn Kim and present a case study against zero-hour contracts as they continue to battle

He later realised his wallet was missing, which prompted him and Laurel to return to Take A Vow to search for it.

But when they found it down the back of a chair, they were shocked to discover a tiny bag of drugs.

His sister Priya and Laurel accused him of owning the drugs and a confused Jai struggled to find an explanation.

Despite Jay's denials, Laurel was convinced this was enough proof of his guilt and she exploded with rage.

She slammed him for being a liar and confirmed their relationship was over for good.

Jay pleaded: "Everything that matters, everything that I've fought for, I have finally got back - do you honestly think I would chuck it all away for one lousy hit?"

"You and me Jay, we're done," Laurel said.

A distraught Jay tried to pin the blame on Kim after he recalled that she threw his coat on the floor earlier on and has motive for planting the drugs on him.

He begged Laurel to listen after she slammed the door in his face and yelled: "No Laurel, please, I know how bad this looks and how crazy I might sound.

"Whenever I have fallen, whenever I've been tempted I've always told you the truth and I've been honest with you because you know this battle."

Viewers are convinced that Jay has been wrongly accused and is being set up.

One wrote: "Kim definitely hid jays wallet and placed the drugs."

But is this new breakdown really Kim's fault?
