EastEnders’ Max Bowden’s baby joy as he’s expecting first child with ex Roisin Buckle weeks after split
EASTENDERS star Max Bowden will become a dad for the first time later this year after his ex-girlfriend revealed she was pregnant.
The actor, who plays Ben Mitchell in the soap, split from insurance executive Roisin Buckle earlier this year but the pair will raise the tot together.
A pal said: “Max and Roisin are delighted they’re expecting a baby – even if they are no longer together.
“They broke up earlier this year. There was no one else involved, it just simply didn’t work out.
“Max and Roisin remained good friends and were thrilled when she found out she was pregnant.
“They are determined to co-parent the tot and are supporting each other.

“Although they have kept the news low key until now, they have told friends and family.
“Those who know Max and Roisin could not be more excited.
“It has been a tough year for Max so he was delighted when he found out he is going to be a dad.
“He’s really excited about the future.”

Max, 27, joined the BBC soap in 2019 and became the sixth actor to play Phil Mitchell’s son.
In the BBC soap, Ben is married to policeman Callum Highway - and is dad to daughter Lexi with his ex-girlfriend Lola Pearce.
While his career has gone stellar in recent years, off screen Max has suffered a series of heartbreaks after losing three close friends last year.
Pal say he sought solace in his relationship with Roisin, who he started dating last May.
They added: “Roisin has been like a rock to Max during the turbulent past year.
Max and Roisin kept their relationship out of the spotlight and only confirmed they were together last October – five months after they started dating.

Since he joined EastEnders Max has been charged with a number of big storylines and won Best Bad Boy at the Inside Soap Awards in 2019.
Prior to his time on Albert Square Max played Kash Ryland in BBC drama Casualty and was in the Beeb’s Waterloo Road for two years as Justin Fitzgerald.
