The stunning singer got a standing ovation and a Golden Buzzer from the judges as she delivered a stirring rendition of Never Enough from the popular film.

Loren came out on stage and revealed to the judges they would have heard her voice many times before that moment.

";I was hired to record the vocals for The Greatest Showman as a guide for the actors to know how to sing the songs," she explained.

Loren then revealed actress Rebecca Ferguson was so stunned with her singing that she decided to let her vocals be heard in the movie.

But viewers watching at home were less than impressed with Loren's success, claiming it was a 'fix' that a professional singer should go through.

The singer has slammed the fix claims by sharing a post by close friend, Edwin Zhang, who defended her on Instagram.

"Many people question and criticise her participation on @bgt, stating that it's unfair for her to participate, get recognised, and even get the golden buzzer, just because she is a professional singer and has performed to several big occasions," the post started.

"And I'm totally against that. I mean, what's wrong with being a professional and joining a talent competition again? If you are an artist, you will understand how nerve-wrecking and risky for her to make that decision.

"It could have ruined her whole reputation, yet she pushes her boundaries and took the chance. BGT is about giving a wider platform for talents to perform and be more appreciated, even for the professional ones.

"Really salute her courage to push through and give herself a shot. She deserves more recognition with all of her hardwork for years. We got you, @lorenallred."

BGT bosses also backed the singer saying she deserves her place on the show.

"Whilst most people will have heard the infamous Greatest Showman track, Loren is not a household name, and she deserves her spot on the BGT stage," a statement read.

"We hope that such articles will not count against somebody who is well-deserving of this opportunity. It’s fantastic that Loren is now able to step out and stand in her own right to be the face, and not just the voice, of one of the most well-known tracks of all time."

But Loren defended her experience in the music industry before her auditioned aired on ITV in an exclusive chat with The Sun.

"I am an unsigned, independent artist still trying to make a name for myself,” she insisted.

“Even though I have spent a lot of years in the music industry, people don’t know who I am. Over all these years I’ve been fighting for my chance to be known and to make it.

"The opportunity to sing “Never Enough” evolved from being a session singer in the choir, and even though the song was a big success, people still think that the actress sang it.

"I have never gotten the opportunity to tell my story. That’s never happened for me."

Loren released an EP in her home country and has even duetted with singing legends Michael Buble and Andrea Bocelli.

While she was in Boston at university, she would upload YouTube videos, to which she was then discovered by music artist Ne-Yo.

This would lead to her signing a record deal with Island Def Jam.
