The semi-finals will consist of ten amateur cooks hoping to win the 2022 competition.

Two will go through from five heats.

With one heat left to go, here's a look at the semi-finalists so far:

How does MasterChef 2022 work?

The MasterChef 2022 line-up kicked off with 45 talented hopefuls cooking their best meals.

They were split into five groups of nine amateur cooks.

Each week, the nine amateur cooks take part in the new Audition Round.

Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace are then served each dish in the new Tasting Room.

The top three dishes then see the cooks receive the MasterChef apron and immunity from cooking in the following round.

The remaining six contestants then have another chance to wow the judges and bag themselves that coveted apron.

They will prepare their Signature Dishes - a savoury dish if they delivered sweet in the first round and vice versa.

Four will then head into the quarter-finals before two more are axed with the best two chefs moving on to the semi-finals.
