Escape to the Chateau fans stunned by the Strawbridge kids’ transformations in pics from birthday weekend
ESCAPE to the Chateau fans were left doing a double take after spotting Dick and Angel Stawbridge kids’ grown up transformation.
The TV personality, 62, and his wife Angel, 44, are bringing up their two kids – Arthur, nine, and Dorothy, eight – at their stunning French property and regularly shares snaps of family life on social media.
Taking to their chateau Instagram page, proud mum Angel shared a series of photos as her kids enjoyed a day at the beach over the Easter weekend.
The youngsters were pictured digging a hole in the sand and in another photo they looked triumphant with their efforts.
Dorothy, who celebrated her birthday last week, looked all grown up as she posed from a camping chair.
Angel captioned the post: “Mr & Mrs Canute…Keeping the tide out!
“Couple of days at the beach…it’s still birthday week… just! Thank you for all your lovely messages. Completely felt the love ❤️.”

But fans could not believe how much their kids have changed since the last series which aired in October.
One wrote: “Look how beautifully you have grown up both love you guys ❤️❤️happy Easter 🐣🐤🐣😉🏴❤️.”
Another posted: “Wow the kids are really growing up fast!!!”
“They are growing so big, so fast!!!,” a third echoed.
A fourth commented: “They’re both getting so tall !! 💙💗”
Someone else agreed: “Gosh, Arthur and Dorothy are growing up all too quickly. 💕”
“They both are growing up so quick. Gorgeous family!!!,” another added.
Earlier this year, Dick blasted claims that his children are “spoilt” due to them growing up in a castle.
Dick insisted that despite the family calling the idyllic 45-room castle their home, his children continue to have a “normal” childhood.
The couple told Radio 5 Live that it was “ridiculous” to suggest the children didn’t know the value of money, insisting they understand what it is “to work”.
“It is ridiculous,” Dick said. “My eldest daughter, Charlotte, said, ‘How are Arthur and Dorothy not going to be spoilt living in a castle?’
“They haven’t known anything different, but they know that you work to actually achieve the life you do. Those values and the things we do, they are very aware.
“Yes, they’ve got a lovely playroom full of their stuff, their bedrooms, they’ve got a lovely environment. But their friends come and it’s not unusual. It’s just normal.
“When Arthur and Dorothy go to visit their friends in the village, you know, they know it’s different, but they don’t see it as being anything especially different.”
Mum Angel clarified that the children share a “relatively small” bedroom within the house, as well as one bathroom, as the rest is kept separate for guests.
Dick went onto insist his kids understood the value of the property, as he joked they would not be “hosting wild parties” at the home when they had grown up.

Dick and Angel purchased the stunning French chateau in 2015 for a minimal £280,000 – and have spent years renovating the build.
The Chateau de la Motte-Husson now has a value of £2million and is a popular wedding location, with the family charging £34,000 for each big day.
