Who is Olayemi Adelekan?

51-year-old Olayemi decided to enter MasterChef because she wanted new challenges in her life.

Growing up, she lived in many cities in Nigeria as well as the Caribbean before settling in the UK.

She explained how this has inspired her cooking: "Traditional Nigerian cuisine is what I’m here to champion in the competition.

"However, my journey from Nigeria to the West Indies in 1995, then to the UK in 1997 has influenced my cooking in so many ways."
