Max George puts on a brave face as he trains for The Games after Tom Parker’s tragic death
MAX George bravely turned up to training for The Games after the lost of his best mate and The Wanted costar, Tom Parker.
The singer turned up to the athletics track to film the reality series alongside 11 other celebrities as they compete in a series of Olympic style challenges.
Max, who was by Tom’s side last month when he passed away from brain cancer aged 33, warmed up on the track with the other celebrities and was even spotted smiling as he took a break on the ground.
Wearing a white beanie and matching long socks, Max completed the look with a long sleeved black top and shorts.
He did high jumps and took a breather from the tough workout, by bending over to get his breath.
Max had earlier been spotted walking into the training ground carrying his own khaki duffle bag.
It’s one of the first times Max has been seen since losing Tom.
He had broken his silence days after Tom’s death in an emotional post that left their fans in tears.

The 33-year-old tragically leaves behind children Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one, as well as his wife Kelsey, 32.
“Tom, my brother, my boy, my band mate, my best bud.. You lit up so many lives all over the world but I can only speak on behalf of mine,” Max wrote on Instagram.
“From the minute I met you, I knew this was gonna be a special chapter in my life. I was right. We did everything together, some amazing things, some outrageous things. I’m so proud of what we achieved as band mates and as brothers.
“I’m also proud that I was there the night you met Kels. I remember saying to you, ‘You like her don’t you?’.. to which you replied, ‘Bro, like you wouldn’t believe’. You two really are like peas and carrots.
“Thank you for choosing me as your friend. It was an honour from day one. I’m so grateful I was with you until the very end. The courage and dignity I have witnessed over the last few months surpassed the lion I already knew you were.
“The huge hole now left in my life will forever be there, but I know your spirit will live on through your two beautiful babies, your wonderful wife, our music, your fans and in my heart.”
He continued: “I’m heartbroken beyond words right now and I cannot even begin to imagine what the future holds without you, but whatever I do going forward, even on my darkest days, I can always smile and say, ‘I shared the stage with Tom Parker’.
“I am going to miss you so much. I love you mate. Always. George.”
Kelsey announced Tom’s tragic death on social media writing: “He changed so many lives in such a small amount of time. Tom Parker, I love you.”
As well as his family, Tom’s bandmates Max, Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran and Jay McGuinness were with him in his last moments.
They later posted a joint message on The Wanted’s Instagram, saying: “Words can’t express the loss and sadness we feel.”
When Tom was diagnosed two years ago, his bandmates rallied round and initially planned a one-off concert at the Royal Albert Hall as part of Channel 4’s Stand Up 4 Cancer campaign.

The event, which raised more than £31million for charity, opened the door to a 12-date UK tour last month.
In an interview with The Sun in September, the group revealed how Tom’s diagnosis had made them realise the importance of friendship and said it was the driving force behind their reunion.
