EastEnders spoilers: Ben Mitchell exposed a vigilante after making fatal mistake with one victim
EASTENDERS' Ben Mitchell will be exposed as a vigilante after making a fatal mistake with one of his victims.
The character - who killed Heather Trott over a decade ago - let his temper get the better of him again in recent scenes on the BBC soap.
Ben witnessed the homophobic attack of his husband Callum Highway earlier this year and has been struggling to cope with the trauma.
The Albert Square local - who is played by actor Max Bowden - let his violent streak back out in the wake of the attack.
Ben is heckled by a group of men on a night out, and later tracks down one of the men, called Steve, the following day.
Seeing red, Ben dragged Steve into the gym's alley and viciously attacked him as a payback for his behaviour before he was caught red-handed by a stunned Sharon.

While Ben and Sharon thought his secret was safe, it looks to be uncovered next week as CCTV is found by Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
A guilt-ridden Ben will go and visit Steve in the hopes it would keep him quiet, and begs Sharon to help him keep the attack covered up.
Wanting to get to the bottom of the attack, businessman Jack goes and interviews Steve's mother with Callum.
She proceeds to let them know about a friend who came to visit him in hospital.

Checking the CCTV, Jack discovers that Ben appears in the footage, and goes to confront him - telling him he needs answers immediately.
Meanwhile, Sharon turns to Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), who happens to be romantically involved with Ben's imprisoned father Phil, and asks her to keep Ben away from his business.
She claims Ben is too fragile to handle anything but Kat struggles with her own son and ignores Sharon.
Determined to keep Ben out of trouble, Sharon pays Phil (Steve McFadden) a visit in prison to tell him everything.
Sharon then suggests her ex-husband revisits DCI Keeble's offer.
EastEnders fans know DCI Samantha Keeble offered Phil freedom on the one condition he becomes an informant for the police.
Will Ben's struggle be enough for the Walford tough guy to reconsider refusing the deal?
